Refugee Health Technical Assistance Center
RHTAC is a project of the Refugee and Immigrant Health Program at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (in collaboration with other related organizations). It is located at 305 South Street, Boston, MA 02130. E-mail: [email protected]
RHTAC provides tools, resources, and support for health and mental health providers in order to better meet the needs of refugees in resettlement. RHTAC provides basic information about refugees and their access to health care, information about physical and mental health among refugees, and training materials and resources. You can join their mailing list and receive their newsletter.
RHTAC is funded by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). The Refugee and Immigrant Health Program, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, is the lead agency. The RHTAC leadership team consists of nationally-recognized organizations with extensive experience in the field of refugee health and in improving the quality of services to refugees.

Lynn Community Health Center

The Lynn Community Health Center provides initial refugee health assessments as part of the services refugees receive upon arrival. They can also provide ongoing primary health care if the family wishes to continue with them. For patients who have experienced trauma, they have bilingual, bicultural clinicians who can provide behavioral health services.
