The goal of all refugee resettlement is to make the family self-sufficient as soon as possible. While there is some transitional help from the federal government, it does not last very long, so it is essential that refugees find jobs quickly, even before they master English.
Because of their language limitations, it is likely that the first job an immigrant will qualify for will be an entry-level job, so that is an area that can be explored. Hospitals, hotels and restaurants are some of the possibilities.
